KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP has charged one adult and three youths in connection to an armed robbery in Omemee on May 2, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Officers were called to investigate an armed robbery, which had occurred earlier that day. The investigation resulted in four arrests.
21-year-old Zachary Hough of Emily Township has been charged with Robbery with Violence.
A 17-year-old male has been charged with:
- Robbery with Violence
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
A 16-year-old male has been charged with:
- Robbery with a Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
A second 16-year-old male has been charged with:
- Armed Robbery
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on a later date.
The identities of the youths are protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
