PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP will be teaming up with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) on April 12 to conduct inspections of commercial motor vehicles (CMV). This safety initiative will focus on CMV’s travelling on Highway 115 as well as Highway 7 and will include transport trucks as well as smaller operators (landscapers, construction trailers, dump trucks, etc.).
Police say the aim is to enforce and educate operators regarding weights, devices, licence classes required and load security in an effort to ensure road user safety.
“The OPP acknowledges and commends the many safe CMV drivers who contribute to safe Ontario roads.” said police in a press release.
