KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP stopped a suspended driver which led to the arrest of both driver and passenger for drug trafficking charges.
An officer patrolling in Fenelon Falls with an Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) equipped vehicle received an alert for a suspended driver on March 31. The vehicle was stopped, and the initial investigation resulted in the arrest of both driver and passenger, as well as the seizure of drugs suspected to be opioids and cocaine according to police.
As a result, Joel Fisher 39 years of age, of Fenelon Falls has been charged with:
- Drive while prohibited – four counts
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Percocet
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
Sarah Blower-Hagan 33 years of age, of Fenelon Falls has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Percocet
Both were released and are scheduled to appear in court later in April.
