KAWARTHA LAKES-Environment Canada says freezing rain is likely Tuesday night followed by rain Wednesday in some areas.
Freezing rain with ice accretion up to 5 mm possible making surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are possible with localized flooding in low-lying areas.
The freezing rain will begin Tuesday evening or Tuesday night changing to rain Wednesday afternoon or Wednesday evening.
The most significant freezing rain is expected in the Ottawa Valley and areas West including Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and North Bay. Peterborough County, Haliburton, Minden and Bancroft are also in the areas that could be hit with this storm.
The rain is expected to taper off Wednesday night.
