Four People Charged After Two Stolen Vehicles Recovered In Bancroft

BANCROFT-Four people have been charged with possession of stolen vehicles in Bancroft.

On March 28, 2023, Bancroft OPP officers located a vehicle reported as stolen from the Toronto area. A short time later, officers located a second vehicle reported as stolen from the Toronto area. Both vehicles were stopped and as a result, four people were arrested.

Nadia Couture, a 39-year-old from Montreal, has been charged with:

-Theft of a motor vehicle

– Possession of property obtained by crime

– Possession of a Schedule 1 substance -two counts

41-year-old Sophie Senecal-Racette from Montreal, has been charged with:

-Theft of a motor vehicle

– Possession of property obtained by crime

– Possession of a Schedule 1 substance

Cristel Banakayi, 34-years-old and Stanley Prtigny, 50-years-old, both from Montreal, have been charged with the possession of property obtained by crime.

All four accused have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 29, 2023 in relation to the criminal charges.
