KAWARTHA LAKES-At 2:55am this morning members of the Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a report of a break and enter at a Lindsay Street South residence.
Police say while standing on the front porch, a resident of the home was attacked by a group of unknown suspects with the confrontation continuing into the entryway of the home where a second resident was struck in the face by an unknown object. The suspects fled the area. Officers searched the area with the assistance of Peterborough Police Canine Unit with negative results. Police believe this to be a targeted incident. Non-life-threatening injuries resulted from the attack.
