Peterborough Driver Charged With Failing To Obey School Crossing Stop Sign

PETERBOROUGH-The Peterborough Police Service is issuing a reminder after a 62-year-old driver was charged with failing to obey a school crossing stop sign.

The incident happened at approximately 8:55am on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the intersection of Armour Road and Hunter Street East.  Police say no one was injured.

“Peterborough Police would like to remind motorists to be extra cautious around schools.” said a press release from police.

Under the Highway traffic Act motorists must stop before reaching the crossing and remain stopped until all persons including the school crossing guard have cleared the roadway.
