Charges Laid After Alleged Threats Involving Firearm

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 19-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after Kawartha Lakes entered into an investigation after receiving a complaint of threats involving a firearm. The complainant called police on Thursday, March 2, after a Facetime conversation involving acquaintances, during which threats were allegedly made while displaying a firearm. Police located and arrested two suspects. 

A 19-year-old Lindsay male has been charged with:

  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
  • Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Imitation firearm – use while committing an offence

A 21-year-old Cannington male has been charged with:

  • Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on April 13, 2023.
