Lindsay Resident Wins $100,000 With Instant Crossword

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 29-year-old Lindsay resident says she’s been playing the lottery since she turned 18 and this is her first big win. “I play a couple times a month,”  Jessica shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “It was New Year’s, and something was telling me to buy this ticket – I was feeling lucky!”

Jessica played her ticket while at home when she discovered her big win. “I scanned the ticket on the OLG App and I thought I won $100. I was so happy – I ran to show my mom and she looked at my phone and told me it was actually $100,000! I was in disbelief! I would always have conversations with my best friend about what we would do if we won the lottery, and now it’s actually happened!”

Jessica says she plans to take a trip to Portugal and save for the future.

“This is an out-of-body experience,” she concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Lindsay Street in Lindsay.
