PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 7 at approximately 10:45pm last night. Police say the suspect vehicle was located in a gas station parking lot.
The alleged driver, 20-year-old Shayne Fertile of Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, has been charged with operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus and operation while impaired-alcohol.
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on November 15, 2022.
The Peterborough County OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight.
