Whitby Woman Charged With Attempting To Defraud Lindsay Car Dealership

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Whitby woman is facing charges after allegedly attempting to defraud a Lindsay care dealership.

Police say staff at the dealership contacted police after they noted issues in the financing documentation for the purchase of a new vehicle on October 3rd. On October 4, when the customer attended the dealership to complete the purchase, officers were also on hand. As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Alexandra Beamish of Whitby has been charged with personation with intent to obtain property and fraud over $5000. 

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 10, 2022.
