KAWARTHA LAKES-A Hastings Highlands Township man has died after a crash involving an amateur aircraft.
On October 01, 2022, shortly before 09:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP responded to an overdue person in a small aircraft in Hastings Highlands. A search of the area located the aircraft, the pilot was pronounced dead a short time later.
The deceased has been identified as Jason Reynolds, 51-years old, of Hastings Highlands Township.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, involving officers from the Bancroft Detachment, as well as the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
