Police Investigating Overnight Stabbing In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred overnight in Lindsay.

Officers were called to a residence on Lindsay Street South for the report of a stabbing on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 3:19am.

Police say throughout the evening the suspect had attended the residence and confronted the victim multiple times, causing him to flee the residence. The suspect located the victim nearby and engaged in a physical confrontation which led to the victim being stabbed multiple times according to police. The victim was transported to the Ross Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

According to police, this appears to be a targeted incident and there is no risk to public safety.
