Kawartha Lakes Police Service Officer Rescued Child From The Scugog River On Saturday

KAWARTHA LAKES-A City of Kawartha lakes police officer pulled a child from the Scugog River on Saturday.

Police say on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 1:06pm Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a young child in the Scugog River in the area of Colborne Street West in Lindsay. 

Police responded immediately and found the child submerged in the water up to the neck. The responding officer was able to walk out on some rocks and pull the child from the water to safety.

The child was transported to the hospital by Kawartha Lakes EMS, assessed and released.
