Peterborough Police Issue Warning About Storm Related Scam

PETERBOROUGH=Scammers are trying to take advantage of residents who had power outages in the Peterborough area.

Peterborough Police Service is reminding community members to be aware of a new SCAM whereby texts are being sent advertising $100 rebate due to a power outage.

DO NOT CLICK THE LINK OR ENTER PERSONAL INFORMATION. 

There is no such rebate that the police are aware of.
