Woman Charged After Paramedics Allegedly Found Her Unconscious Behind The Wheel

PETERBOROUGH-A Peterborough woman is facing charges after paramedics allegedly found her unconscious in the drivers seat of a running vehicle.

Police say on April 7, 2022 at 10:27 pm officers were contacted by Peterborough Paramedics for an unconscious 26 year old female in the driver seat of a running motor vehicle on Stenson Blvd. The female also had drug paraphernalia in her possession according to police.

Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered the vehicle the female was driving was reported stolen to Peterborough Police on April 1, 2022 according to police. The female was placed under arrest for possession of the stolen vehicle. Through further investigation it was determined the female was operating the stolen vehicle while allegedly impaired.

A drug recognition evaluation demand was made. The female refused to comply with this demand. She was transported to the Peterborough Police Station. Further investigation determined the female had a stolen credit card and other drugs in her possession.

The female was released on conditions to attend court on April 28, 2022. She is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000.00 – stolen vehicle
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000.00 (Credit Card)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance -Cocaine
  • Operation while impaired
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

Peterborough Police no longer release names of people facing charges.
