Suspect Charged After Alleged Armed Robbery At Peterborough Business

PETERBOROUGH-Some scary moments for employees at a business on Television Road in Peterborough this morning.

Police say a masked suspect, armed with a knife, entered a business and demanded money from the employee just before 9am. The suspect stole approximately $300 and fled on foot according to police. .

OPP officers were able to quickly locate and arrest the suspect in the City of Peterborough.

28-year-old Mitchell Lock of Selwyn Township, has been charged with:

• Robbery with weapon

• Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

• Failure to comply with release order

The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough later this afternoon.
