Fentanyl And Cash Seized In Traffic Stop On County Road 28

PETERBOROUGH-Members of the Peterborough OPP responded to a traffic complaint on County Road 28 at approximately 4:30pm on March 26, 2022.

Police say the vehicle was located and the driver was found to be under the influence of drugs. A search resulted in the alleged seizure of $1700 in Canadian currency and 42 grams of fentanyl.

Michael MILLER (age 44) of Oshawa, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioids

• Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime-under $5000

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 27, 2022.
