OPP And Durham Regional Police On The Scene Of An Investigation In Woodville

KAWARTHA LAKES-City Of Kawartha Lakes OPP is investigating after human remains were located on The Glen Road in Woodville, Mariposa Township. Durham Regional Police are assisting in the investigation.

Durham Regional Police near WoodvilleOn October 24, 2021, shortly after 6:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of human remains located on The Glen Road in Mariposa Township.

The Glen Road, between Mcindoos Cemetery Road and County Road 46, remains closed for the police investigation. There is no immediate threat to the general public.

The investigation is being conducted by the City of Kawartha Lakes Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, and with assistance from the Durham Regional Police Service and the Office of the Chief Coroner.

Police say further information will be released when available.
