KAWARTHA LAKES-Two Lindsay men are facing arson charges after a fire at the former Northern Plastics on St David Street.
On May 5, 2021 at 11:30pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a report of a fire located at a build on St David in Lindsay.
Police say officers attended and observed smoke coming from the building, Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue responded and extinguished the fire. They determined the fire was suspicious and an investigation was launched according to officials.
On May 6th, Kawartha Lakes Police Criminal Investigation Branch, arrested two individuals in relation to the arson investigation. 20-year-old Colton Harvey and 19-year-old Tyler O’Brien-Sutherland both of Lindsay, have been charged with break and enter, mischief and arson.
Both accused will attend appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 17, 2021.
