Charges Laid After String Of Thefts Throughout The City

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man is facing charges after a string of thefts in Kawartha Lakes.

On Tuesday April 27, 2021 the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service announced the arrest  after a string of allegedly stolen and recovered stolen vehicles, including thefts from multiple vehicles in and around Kawartha Lakes.

After an extensive investigation by the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service, Criminal Investigation Branch, 30-year-old Mark English of Lindsay is charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 X5, possession of a credit card X3 and use of credit card.

The accused remains in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay.
