Peterborough Police Looking For Suspect After Gas Station Robbery This Morning

KAWARTHA LAKES-Peterborough Police Service is looking for a suspect in connection with a gas station robbery early Friday morning.

At approximately 2:00 am on April 30, 2021, officers were called to a gas station on Chemong Road after an employee reported that a male had entered the store selected several items and placed them on the counter, the male then asked for a large number of cigarettes and lottery tickets according to police.

When the employee refused the man came around the counter and allegedly verbally threatened the clerk before filling two garbage bags with cigarettes and lottery tickets.  The male suspect took off on a bicycle.

Description of suspect:

  • white male
  • slim build
  • approximately 35 years old
  • black jacket with hood
  • yellow sweater with hood
  • maroon sweatpants with “aero” written on the left leg
  • black with pink lettering New Balance running shoes.
  • smart watch left wrist
