Heavy Police Presence On Brock Street In Peterborough, Residents of Brock Towers Told To Stay Inside

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough Police have closed Brock Street and residents of Brock Towers have been advised to stay inside their apartments.

A number of police are on the scene along with fire crews and an ambulance.

Residents say there is a distressed man on one of the balconies and police say a negotiator is on the scene. There is a police officer outside a unit on the third floor.

Just after 4pm officers were able to talk the man into coming down off of the balcony. He was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for evaluation.

Peterborough Police had Brock street closed from Aylmer to George St. but the road has now reopened.
