Omemee Resident Charged With Impaired Driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 27 year old Omemee resident is facing impaired driving charges.

An officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 7 east of Lindsay on Saturday April 3, 2021 at approximately 8:30 pm. The vehicle was initially stopped for a Highway Traffic Act infraction according to police.

Following an investigation the driver, Hailey Oxenham of Omemee, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  •  Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
  • Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the CCC

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on April 15, 2021.
