KAWARTHA LAKES-Five people are facing drug trafficking charges after Peterborough Police Drug Unit executed a search warrant on a house in the Braidwood Avenue and Park Street South area Thursday afternoon.
Police say at approximately 4:00pm on March 11, 2021, officers entered the home and found a number of people inside and several outside. As a result of the search warrant officers seized cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, green fentanyl, and pink fentanyl along with about $10,000 in cash.
The following were arrested and charged.
60-year-old Leroy Bennett of Peterborough was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)
The accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, March 12, 2021.
55-year-old Clifford Boal of Peterborough was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
The accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, March 12, 2021.
55-year-old Linda Heaney of Peterborough was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada

35-year-old Ashley Hadwyn of Peterborough was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 – in Canada
The accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, March 12, 2021.
41-year-old Amanda Hill of Peterborough was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance -Opioid (other than heroin)
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 31, 2021.
