Charges Laid After Police Called To Residence Multiple Times In One Day

KAWARTHA LAKES-A local resident faces numerous Criminal Code related charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the residence multiple times throughout the day.

Police say on February 18, 2021, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to several calls for assistance at the same residence. On-going police involvement led to the arrest of Jesse Cook, 33 years of age, who now faces the following charges:

  • Public mischief
  • 3 counts of Possession of Property obtained by crime, under $5000 – in Canada
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on March 25, 2021.
