Brampton Woman Charged After Crash On Highway 115 Near Peterborough

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 34 year old woman from Brampton is facing numerous charges after a single vehicle crash on Highway 115 near Peterborough.

Peterborough County OPP responded to the crash just before 12:00am on December 19, 2020. Police say the vehicle was located in the ditch approximately 20 meters off the highway and the driver was found to be in possession of illicit drugs.

The driver and passenger were transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

Dawn Locey of Brampton, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance-cocaine

·      Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available

·      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on January 27, 2021.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
