Victim punched in the face in alleged “road rage” incident on Lakehurst Road

KAWARTHA LAKES-Peterborough County OPP are investigating an alleged road rage incident from January 7th.

Police say at approximately 12:30pm, the victim was driving on Lakehurst Road in a grey Mercedes car. The victim’s car was passed by a pickup truck which proceeded to abruptly stop and block the entire roadway so the victim’s car could not continue according to police. Two suspects exited the pickup truck and approached the victim’s car. One of the suspects is alleged to have struck the victim in the face through an open window causing minor injuries. The suspects fled the area and drove east towards the village of Buckhorn.

The suspect vehicle is described as being an older model white Ford pickup truck, four doors with black fenders.

The first suspect is described as male, white, 5′ 5″, heavy build, approximately 40 years old with a mustache.

The second suspect is described as male, white, 5’9″, thin build and approximately 15 years old.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects in this case. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough County OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
