Baby Walker first baby of the year born at Ross Memorial Hospital

KAWARTHA LAKES-Baby Walker started “the year off with a bang”.

Walker George made an exciting entrance into the world at 10:39am on January 2, 2020 – the first baby of the new year born at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.

While he wasn’t due for another few weeks, “he wanted to start the year off with a bang,” says mother Chantel George. Chantel, her husband Matt, and big brother Wyatt, who is 3 years old, are excited to now call themselves a family of four.

The Georges had brother Wyatt at Ross Memorial Hospital when they lived in Little Britain. They now live in Cavan, but say they wanted to return to RMH to have their second child, and were able to have the same care team this time around. “We had such a great experience [at the hospital] the first time,” says Chantel, “I knew we had to make the drive to deliver here again.”

The couple says that baby Walker “looks identical” to his older brother, with one exception – he was born with quite a bit more hair!

The family is  looking forward to bringing baby Walker home.
