Scarborough couple charged with stealing from two local businesses (VIDEO)

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Scarborough couple has been charged with stealing from two Lindsay businesses.

Police say on Saturday January 4, 2020 the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service arrested a man and woman in the parking lot of Loblaws on Kent Street west in Lindsay.

 

The couple had been reportedly followed to the parking lot by an employee of another Kent Street west store, after they were observed stealing tools from the business.

Further investigation revealed that the couple had stolen merchandise in their possession from two Lindsay businesses according to police.

Charged with two counts of theft under $5000, and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime is 62-year-old Giuseppe Capano and 56-year-old Judy Capano, both of Scarborough.

The two accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street west in Lindsay on February 13, 2020.
