Go Fund Me campaign set up for grandparents who “lost everything” in fire

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Go Fund Me campaign has been set up for an elderly couple who reportedly lost everything in a fire on December 28th.

The fire, in a building that housed Derry’s Restaurant, RDS Cleaning Products and an apartment on Highway 36 in Lindsay, broke out around lunch time on Saturday. The elderly couple who lived in the apartment for 30 years, “have lost absolutely everything and walked away with only the clothes on their backs.” according to the GoFundMe campaign.

District Fire Chief Bill Lockwood says there were no injuries in the fire.
