Bobcaygeon man charged with impaired driving after crash

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 28 year old Bobcaygeon man is facing charges after allegedly crashing into a tree in Lindsay.

Police say on Thursday December 12, 2019, just after 4:00PM, a vehicle left the road and collided with a tree along Queen Street in Lindsay.

A City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service constable responded to the collision to investigate and determined the driver of the vehicle was impaired. The driver was arrested and has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration above 0.08. 28-year-old Joshua Calvin Barnhart of Bobcaygeon will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street west in Lindsay on January 16, 2020.
