Omemee resident charged twice over the weekend

KAWARTHA LAKES-An Omemee resident was arrested twice over the weekend after domestic related incidents were reported to police.

Police say on October 13th officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a domestic altercation that resulted in one party being arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Assault – spousal, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal, contrary to the Criminal Code

The following day, October 14, officers were called to the home again and the same party was arrested and charged with Failing to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking given by Officer in Charge.

 

The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on October 15, 2019.
