Bobcaygeon resident charged after neighbour dispute turns physical

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 57 year old Bobcaygeon resident is facing charges after a neighbour dispute allegedly turned physical.

On October 16, 2019, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were called to an apartment complex on Need Street in Bobcaygeon, in response to a neighbour dispute.

Investigation indicated that a disagreement between neighbours led to a physical altercation. As a result, Carey Durette, 57 years of age, was charged with the following offences:

  • Assault, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • 3 counts of Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, contrary to the Criminal Code
