KAWARTHA LAKES-OPP busted down the door of an apartment at 129 main Street in Bobcaygeon last night.
It happened at around 7:15pm. Witnesses tell Kawartha 411 there was approximately 30 police, the K9 unit, a large van, 4 SUV’s and 2 cars.
“They had a younger girl in the back driveway with her hands up and a gun pointing at her and a dog over her” said the witness who did not want to be identified. “There was a van in the driveway with people in it and police on either side with guns.”
The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) say officers executed a warrant at a residence in Bobcaygeon that resulted in multiple arrests.
Upon entering the residence, the officers allegedly located drugs, drug paraphernalia, money and two conducted energy weapons.
Chad ENGLISH, 28 years of age, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Opioid, contrary to the CDSA
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon X 2, contrary to the Criminal Code
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000, contrary to the Criminal Code
- Possession of Firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition order, contrary to the Criminal Code.
Kelsey Waterson, 23 years of age, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to the CDSA
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Oxycodone, contrary to the CDSA
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon X 2, contrary to the Criminal Code
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000, contrary to the Criminal Code
Four other persons, present at the residence at the time of the incident, were arrested and charged with possession of Schedule I substance – cocaine, contrary to the CDSA.
Brandon Bush, 25 years of age, Jacquelynn Hutchinson, 22 years of age, Willy Jensen, 29 years of age, and Shelby Waterson, 25 years of age, are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on October 31, 2019.
