Driver airlifted to Toronto hospital after motorcycle crash on Hwy 7

KAWARTHA LAKES-A driver was airlifted to hospital after a motorcycle crash on Highway 7 on Wednesday.

Police say at approximately 4:37p.m. officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 7.

The operator of a motorcycle was transported from the scene to a local hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries.

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation and Highway 7 was closed for approximately four hours.
