Man allegedly beaten outside bar on Charlotte Street

PETERBOROUGH-A fight outside a Charlotte Street bar has lead to charges for a local man.

Police say just before 3 am on June 11th two men became involved in a verbal dispute outside an establishment on Charlotte Street. During the dispute, it was reported that the accused struck and kicked the victim, a man in his 20’s, in the face. The accused then fled the area. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Officers made contact with the accused and on the morning of June 12th and the accused turned himself in at the police station where he was placed under arrest.

 25-year-old Brandon Paul McIlmoyle, 25, of Charlotte Street has been charged with aggravated assault.
