Local Crime Stoppers wins provincial award

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough-Northumberland Crime Stoppers has won a provincial award for  “Best Video Feature” for 2016.

This video was designed by ROBYN’s Nest in Lakefield, Ontario depicting how crime affects everybody and asking the community to do their part when they see a crime.

The awards ceremony was held on the weekend of June 10, 2017, in Waterloo during the Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers Association held its annual convention. The awards recognize the hard work of the Crime Stoppers Programs across Ontario.

“Hear Something, See Something, then Say something” is the Crime Stoppers motto for 2017.

The video can be seen on Peterborough-Northumberland Crime Stoppers website at www.stopcrimehere.ca and on the Peterborough Police Service Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/PtboPolice/
