Woman charged after man hit with dog leash

A 23-year-old Lindsay woman has been charged after her common law partner reported he was hit with a dog leash during a domestic dispute.

Kawartha Lakes Police were called to the residence twice on Sunday, May 14th, 2017 for reports of a domestic disturbance. On the second occasion, it was learned that the verbal dispute had escalated and the female had lashed out at the male, striking him in the throat area with a chain dog leash police say. The male received minor injuries.

The female was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon.  The name of the accused is not being released to protect the privacy of the male victim.
