Havelock man seriously injured in ATV accident

Members of the Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews were called to an ATV collision on Peninsula Road near Kasshabog Lake, shortly after 10:00pm on Friday.

The male rider of the ATV allegedly lost control and struck a tree. Police say the injures were made worse due to the lack of safety equipment used by the rider.

The 27-year old male rider from Havelock, Ontario was transported to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries. Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
