Seasoned journalist joins the team

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha 411 is pleased to announce that Jamie Steel has joined the team as a contract writer. Jamie is an experienced journalist who has worked in Peterborough and Kawartha’s for many years. She is an excellent storyteller and has a keen eye for community news.

Jamie and her family live in Lindsay and can often be found playing card games, reading/watching Harry Potter and planning the perfect puppy wedding for their two dogs.

Professionally, she’s been on the crime and emergency beat and has covered municipal council but if you ask her, Jamie’s favourite story to write is the one that matters to the people of the community. She loves to meet the people who make small towns work, especially those who often go unheralded.

If you have an interesting story to tell, Jamie would be honoured to share it.

You can reach Jamie at [email protected]
