KAWARTHA LAKES-“Edgewood was the home of W.T.C. Boyd, it was torn down around 2006 as Case Manor constructed a new building. William Thornton Cust Boyd was a half brother of Mossom Martin Boyd. He was a son of the Mossom Boyd’s second wife, Letitia Cust.” Willie Boyd oversaw the Trent Valley Navigation Company, while his brother focused on the lumber business and breeding cattle. Mossie lived in the Big House down the road, while architect John Belcher designed this home for Willie, built in 1889. It would remain Willie’s home until he passed away in 1919.
