KAWARTHA LAKES-A Trent Lakes man is facing numerous charges following a sexual assault investigation by Peterborough County OPP.
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the Peterborough Detachment, in partnership with the OPP Peterborough Crime Unit, initiated an investigation into a sexual assault involving a youth. Police say further investigative steps identified additional youth victims, as well as several other alleged criminal offences occurring in multiple locations.
On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Johnathan Dollimore, 35 years old from Trent Lakes, was arrested and charged under the criminal code with:
• Sexual interference, section 151 – 2 counts
• Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, section 271 – 2 counts
• Sexual assault, section 271
• Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication, section 172.1(1)(b) – 2 counts
• Corrupting children, section 172
• Assault (spousal), section 266
• Assault causing bodily harm – choke suffocate or strangle, section 267(c)
• Breach of recognizance section, 811 – 3 counts
• Fail to comply with probation order, section 733.1(1) – 6 counts
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
The investigation remains ongoing and police believe there may be other victims. The accused is known to have previously operated a retail store front in Lindsay and more recently, operated a marihuana delivery business and has utilized these to facilitate offences according to police.
