KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha lakes Police Service is investigating after two Lindsay businesses were broken into.
On September 4, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., suspects attended The Trading Card Store located at 370 Kent Street West in Lindsay and gained entry to the business. The suspects removed property and fled the area prior to police arrival according to officers.
As the investigation continues, Kawartha Lakes Police Service is looking to increase public awareness regarding the stolen property. Members of the community, collectors, and businesses are reminded to exercise caution when purchasing packaged trading cards through online marketplaces, social media platforms, or private sales. Individuals are encouraged to be wary of deals that appear unusually discounted and to inquire about the origin of any products being offered for sale.
Police say on September 7th a lone suspect attended HBC Rentals, located at 210 Lindsay Street South in Lindsay, between 11:20 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. The suspect gained entry to the business and removed property before fleeing the area.
Investigators are reviewing available evidence and are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the specified time, or who may have dash camera or security footage, to contact police.
