NORTHUMBERLAND-Police recently received a report regarding historical sexual assaults which occurred between the summer months of 2024 and March 2026 at an address in the Township of Hamilton.
The accused and victim were known to each other during the period in which the incidents are reported to have occurred.
The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit began an investigation into the incidents which resulted in one person being taken into custody on August 22, 2026.
A 20-year-old female from Oshawa, has been charged with:
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Sexual assault
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Sexual interference
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in September. They shall not be named to protect the identity of the victim.
