Police Looking To Identify Suspect Following Theft Of Plumbing Supplies

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP officers are looking for assistance in identifying an individual believed to be responsible for the theft of over $800.00 worth of plumbing supplies.

On Friday August 14, 2026, officers responded to a reported theft from a local business located on Chemong Road, in Selwyn Township. The complainant, a member of the staff of the store, reported that an individual arrived at their location just prior to 11:00am on a bicycle, entered the store and then proceeded to remove over $800.00 worth of plumbing supplies from the shelves. The suspect then left the store without making any effort to pay for the items according to staff.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years of age, wearing a white baseball hat, white tank top, black baggy pants, black shoes, and carrying a blue/black bag.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect involved in this theft. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough County OPP at the non-emergency line 1-888-310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
