Ennismore Teen Facing Impaired Driving Charges

PETERBOROUGH-A 17-year-old Ennismore resident is facing impaired charges after an incident early Saturday morning.

At approximately 3:35am on August 15, 2026, Peterborough Police officers on general patrol spotted a vehicle in a parking lot with a damaged front tire.

As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old Ennismore male was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Young Driver – B.A.C. Above Zero (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Novice Driver – B.A.C. Above Zero (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor (Liquor License Control Act)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven day vehicle impoundment.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court September 28, 2026.
