PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough Police officers responded to the Peterborough Regional Airport on information regarding a chartered plane for a domestic flight at approximately 11:30am on August 6.
Police say through the investigation, drugs and an imitation firearm were located and a 40-year old Peterborough man and a 41-year-old woman were taken into custody.
During a search after arrest, officers seized:
- Imitation firearm
- 38.7 grams of Methamphetamine
- 7.3 grams of Cocaine
- 7.8 grams of Fentanyl
- 148 pills – Hydromorphone
- 862 pills – Dilaudid
- Canadian currency
- Cellphones
As a result of the investigation:
A 40-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)Â x2
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
A 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)Â x2
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
The accused are being held in custody and will appeared in court on August 7, 2026
