Bridge Rehabilitation Underway On Two Dunsford Area Bridges

KAWARTHA LAKES-Bridge rehabilitation work is underway on Mustang Drive (County Road 13), south of Dunsford. Two bridges will be rehabilitated, one at a time, to improve safety and extend their service life according to the City.

Project work includes:

  • Rehabilitation of the existing bridge structures
  • Replacement of the open bottom box culverts
  • Road restoration in the area surrounding each bridge

This project has been awarded to Four Brothers Construction.

Work on the first bridge began in mid-July and is expected to be completed by August 31, weather permitting. Work on the second bridge will begin after work on the first bridge is complete.

Traffic and access

During construction, you should expect:

  • Road closures as required
  • Construction noise during normal working hours
  • Occasional dust and vibration associated with construction activities

Access to nearby properties will be maintained where possible. If you’re driving in the area, please follow all posted signs and use caution around workers and equipment.
