Firefighters Step Up With Boot Drive For RMH

KAWARTHA LAKES-The RMH Foundation is grateful to members of the Kawartha Lakes
Professional Firefighters Association Local 1701, who swapped
firefighting for philanthropy on Easter weekend.

15 members hoisted their boots outside Canadian Tire and Food Basics in Lindsay on April 4 for their Boot Drive collecting donations in support of Ross memorial Hospital.

Today, Kevin Ryan, Jeremy Thomas, Brady Liscombe and Ryan Herlihey
visited RMH to present a donation of $2,000 to James Palmer, RMH
Foundation’s finance manager.

“The members of Kawartha Lakes Professional Firefighters Association
are proud to support Ross Memorial Hospital with this donation,
recognizing the vital role community contributions play in funding
life-saving equipment and enhancing patient care,” said Ryan Herlihey,
treasurer of the Kawartha Lakes Professional Firefighters Association
Local 1701.

“As firefighters serving the residents of Kawartha Lakes, we respond
to medical emergencies every day and witness firsthand the importance of
having the right equipment available when seconds matter. This donation
is our way of giving back to the community we are privileged to serve
and helping ensure our local hospital has the resources needed to
provide exceptional care to patients and their families. We are honoured
to partner with Ross Memorial Hospital in supporting the health and
well-being of our community.”

Donations to the WE ARE THE ROSS capital campaign support the
hospital’s highest priority projects, funding essential facilities and
technology improvements, including the expansion of the Emergency
Department and ICU, leading-edge diagnostic technology and life-saving
bedside equipment.
